A Special Place to Learn

The Episcopal Day School embodies many characteristics which collectively distinguish it from other preschool programs in the area. The preschool offers parents the choice of 2-, 3-, and 5-day academic programs, as well as early morning and afternoon daycare.  Daily chapel services strengthen students’ moral and spiritual development, while other activities, including Library. Language, Creative Movement, Music, Gardening and field trips, enrich their educational experiences.  Daily playground activities promote their physical and social development.

Learning

Learning

Our students learn experientially, in and out of the classroom, through hands-on projects, singing, drawing and painting in support of the Learning Without Tears curriculum and seasonal themes.

Play

Play

As often as the weather allows, students exercise on our playground equipment and run and play on our large, grassy field. In the classroom, students have fun through creative, positive interactions with their friends.

Garden

Garden

Students interact with nature and learn about the physical world by growing plants in raised beds devoted to their use.

Chapel

Chapel

Daily chapel is led by the Director and a pastor comes once a week. Students participate actively in the chapel service. Chapel is a place where the children learn the stories of God’s love for them and all creation.

This is our third child to go through the Episcopal Day School and we would not have it any other way. Each child has been more than prepared to step into a public school 5k program with ease. There has been very little social or academic adjustment required during the transition between the Day School and Public Education....

Our son is the 3rd generation to attend Episcopal Day School. We are so proud and thankful to have him participate in this loving, caring and stimulating community.

EDS serves the whole child: intellectually, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
