Amanda Hommes

Mrs. Amanda is the lead teacher for the new Baby Blue Bird class. Amanda started out volunteering and subbing at EDS in 2022, and then later became the assistant teacher for the Blue Bird class. Amanda graduated from Southern Wesleyan University with a Bachelors of Science degree in 2013. Following graduation, Amanda started working for the Pickens County Library System in their children's department. While at the Pickens County Library System Amanda ran many different programs, including preschool storytime. After 7 years, she left to become a stay at home mom. Amanda will also be using her background in Exercise Science and Management to teach the Movement class for the students at EDS. Amanda has one child, Sydney, with her husband Cody. She enjoys spending time with her family and relaxing with a good cup of coffee at her parents house on Lake Keowee.
